Unfortunately, the work is a "have" for most people. How can we make work fun and enjoyable? In this book, the authors, the topic by a parabola and a real world example of "Pike Place Fish Market."
Why is this important to me? I want to make sure that you watch this video something out of it. I try to put myself in the shoes, so I have to answer this question. Sometimes we need to ask additional questions. Do you hate your job? Does your team hate their job? This is a common theme in America right now. This is the summer of 2011, and unemployment is high and people are, hold them by their jobs. If you have dealt with customer service departments in the last 6 months then know you probably have the answer to these questions personally. Based on the poor service you know that people hate their work. This is bad news if you're dealing with this particular company, or it is really good news, if they are your competitors. This book flushes out the crap and help you to build a culture of fun at work, while customer loyalty to consolidate.
Before I dive into the four things that will help me find a lack luster change culture, let's define the problem. Most businesses have to deal with negative attitudes. A negative employee can bring an entire department. This spreads worse than cancer. Words like unresponsive, entitlement, zombie, unpleasant, slow and negatively. These words are poison for an organization and even if you are working in the area.
1. Attitude - Choose your attitude. There is always a choice about the way you do your work, even if it is not an option on the work itself. If you are then help your people grow a team leader in your organization. Yogi Berra said, "I am convinced that most people enjoy learning and growing, at any time in their lives."

Enter done some thinking about how work can be play. In the software game, see all the time. Look at the Google campus and it looks like Romper Room. That is a good thing. Google allowed its team members 20% of the time. This means 8 hours every 40, they can work on whatever they want ideas. Some really cool stuff came out. GMAIL was created from the 20% of the time. Enter made some thoughts as playback can be integrated and good things will happen. They make
3. their day - Remember that attitudes spread faster than the CLAP. If you make the customer day by commitment and a pleasant attitude, this is distributed to your staff, and they will do the same.
4. exist - this is one most people withdraw sometime. I guilty of this many times. Think about it. You are talking on the phone with someone while you are e-mails to check. You think you are a good multi-tasker, whereas in reality only to annoy the other person because you listen with half an ear. This is even worse, with text messaging. Look around the next time you are in the restaurant and notice how many people are texting while they are with their group. We have the attention span these days of ants, because it is so easy to connect on digital equipment. To be present, is a major competitive advantage, if you can in your organization woodchip.
Fish is a great parable and should be read by every person who hates their job. This short book is packed with great lessons and I encourage you to read it.
