"The Cross" is a self-improvement based in Amarillo, Texas. It is an outreach ministry for veterans, homeless without money, and the unemployed; all of whom want to find work. It serves the community, and the environment in which to find the citizens for the helper slightly fine workers.
The Amarillo Globe "Police Briefs" read the headlines: "The police suspect arson in Outreach Ministry" on fire on Wednesday 27 January, set 2009. The impact of this is set on fire as of the Amarillo Globe News reports, the focus of this commentary.
Police investigators said Pastor Gary Burd that a criminal report was tabled on 15.00, after the Amarillo Globe. It is said that "a disgruntled customer" could, which have set the Cross (also known as the "City of Refuge" Outreach Ministry) on fire.
But there are two very different explanations.
Casey Dumas - an outreach ministry Pastor on the cross of the good new Christ teaches our veterans and homeless of Amarillo, and all who visit his daily sermons - said that it may have been set on fire by the estranged husband of a volunteer who works there.
Or, he said, it could be an acquaintance of the husband of the volunteers were to do it, her husband to frame was to bind, in an act of revenge; as fire investigation evidence of intent exposed, and not the cross is set on fire in a spontaneous act of passion.
The motivation - whether the cross was set on fire in an act of passion or revenge - is irrelevant to the subject of this article, the needy and our veterans is the mission of the Cross to help find work and a base for spreading the Good news of Christ.
told Dumas that the investigation is still ongoing. He pointed out that the City of Refuge Outreach Ministry has no plans to initiate fire accusation against anyone is placed over the cross fire.
The cross, a base for veterans job search
I heard radio host Michael Savage demean veterans and homeless for human excreting waste in business district of San Francisco. But he was no solution to the problem, such as the homeless find work to help other than incarceration.
"The Cross" in Amarillo has a solution for homeless people need the call of nature observed. It has a public toilet, which is available:
- Our veterans
- homeless,
- Who wants to find work.
of alternative thinking. It stinks. What would happen if "The Cross" were forced to close their doors due to lack of funding?
Outreach Ministry
The quick response to the Amarillo Fire Department preventing major damage. "The Cross" continue to serve our veterans and homeless people, as reported in the Amarillo Globe News.
Dumas pointed out that the City of Refuge Outreach Ministry has no plans to fire fire charges against anyone over the cross is set to initiate.
The Amarillo Globe reports that the Cross Outreach Ministry, which is run by Christian Heritage Church, breakfast to Amarillo veterans and homeless feeds. Our veterans, citizens of Amarillo, and the homeless have a place to wait - on the Cross - while they seek day work.
Self Improvement Base
"The Cross" offers Amarillo veterans and homeless following self improvement services:
- Daily Devotions and prayers
- continental breakfast and sack lunch to go,
- family Pantry boxes are distributed,
- employment counseling
- Clear recommendations for multiple needs,
- clothing distribution,
- distribution Hygiene products,
- access to telephone, fax and photocopier,
- Bibles and Christian literature,
- mail / Written message and announced for retrieval
- Outreach Ministry of Hospitalized and the Incarcerated.
"The Cross" does help a lot more than Amarillo homeless. Amarillo veterans can apply by means of self-improvement:
- advantages
- Consulting
- War Trauma Recovery Program (planned for the near future).
Several homeless said on the cross, that they have plans for self-improvement, after they find work for GED classes to pay.
The cross is set on fire, could be a disadvantage for the noble work that it works if the decent people of Amarillo to finish it make donations because of the evil deed.
Or Amarillo citizens - and maybe even people from around the world - to increase support for the cross could be set on fire for advertising that resulted therefrom. Please support the Cross Outreach Ministry basis for our veterans and homeless because it is a valuable service to the community and environment.
